The service. Greypaint is a macOS utility that reads application metadata on your Mac, checks public update sources, and helps you download and install updates you choose. It requires macOS 26.2 or later.
Trial and purchase. Greypaint includes a 14-day free trial with all features. After the trial, a one-time $6.49 purchase unlocks a lifetime license. There is no subscription. The license includes future Greypaint updates while the product is supported.
Your license. A license is for one person’s use on Macs they control. You may move it to another Mac by deactivating it on the previous Mac. You may not resell, share, sublicense, redistribute, or reverse engineer Greypaint except where applicable law permits it.
Payments. Lemon Squeezy is Greypaint’s merchant of record and handles checkout, payment details, tax, receipts, and fraud checks. Your Lemon Squeezy license key is used to activate and validate your license. Refund terms are described in our Refund Policy.
Third-party sources. Greypaint works with appcasts, Homebrew, GitHub Releases, and the Mac App Store. Those services and the apps they distribute are controlled by their respective providers. Availability, version information, install requirements, and licensing may change without notice.
Use and responsibility. You choose which updates to install. Some updates may require macOS approval or administrator access. Review an app’s source and release notes before installing, and keep your own backups. Greypaint keeps rollback copies where supported, but cannot guarantee that every update can be reversed or that every third-party installer will work.
Availability. Greypaint is provided on an as-available basis. We aim to keep it reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted operation or continued support for every third-party source, app, macOS release, or installer format.

Changes. We may update these terms when the product or law changes. The current version will remain available on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
